Baby shower party planning tips

  There are no limits to the number of ideas and innovations you can bring into a baby shower party planning, however some tips will make more excellent impact on such occasions than others.

 • Who should host the baby shower?

 It is often advisable to allow a closed friend or relative of the mother-to-be to host a baby shower party, traditionally, baby shower is a gift even and it is normally considered improper for a family member to host such events, but times have changed and family members now help the parents-to-be to host such events.

• Who and how many should be invited?

You need to consult the mother-to-be about the people that needs to be present at the baby shower but ideal don’t try to get a crowd, about 15-20 people should be enough. The guest lists should be the priority of the mother-to-be, no one else should do that.

• Best time to host a baby shower party

Ideally, a baby shower party should hold around 2-3 months before or after the baby is born. The mother-to-be will be in the best position to determine the ideal date.

The baby shower party theme
You need to be creative in deciding the best baby shower party theme for a mother-to-be. The baby shower theme should cover areas such as ; the invitation, decorations, tableware and foods. Some of the best themes you can use include; Storks, Noah’s ark, and teddy bears, you can also choose from the following themes to help the mother-to-be create a new stock for the baby;

• Baby item themes; powders, ointments, and plastic tubs are great ideas
• Baby clothes themes; sleepers, rompers, and diapers are great theme ideas
• baby nursery themes- moving objects such as changing tables  and night light or blankets plus sheet sets
•Babies toys themes; stuffed animals, teeters, and rattles can be great, don’t choose toys that can injure them easily.

• Have a baby-que.
  One of the ways you can create more fun at a baby shower party is to bring together family members, couples and have a cook-out- otherwise known as baby-que. Cook some hot-dogs or Hamburgers while you all are listening to your favourite tunes. You can introduce some baby shower games such as “name the family member”- the strategy of this game is to ask participants questions relating to the father-to-be or mother-to-be, these are questions that are quite hard for any of them to give answers to.
